Adding a Property in 3 Steps

Getting your first property into Rentadminly takes under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Open the Add Property Wizard

Navigate to Properties in the left sidebar, then click + Add Property in the top right corner. This opens the 3-step wizard.

Step 2: Fill in Property Details

Step 1 — Property Details:

  • Property name (e.g., "Sunset Apartments" or "123 Oak St")
  • Property type: Single Family, Multi-Family, Commercial, etc.
  • Number of units
  • Step 2 — Location:

  • Street address, city, state, ZIP code
  • Step 3 — Review & Save

Confirm everything looks right and click Save Property.

    What Happens Next

Your property now appears on the Properties page. From here you can:

  • Add tenants and assign them to units
  • Create leases for each unit
  • Start tracking rent payments
  • Tips

  • **Use descriptive names**: "Oak Ridge Duplex Unit A" is better than "Unit 1"
  • **Get the address right**: It appears on lease documents and payment receipts
  • **Unit count matters**: Even for single-family homes, enter 1 unit so occupancy tracking works correctly
